Dozens of teddy bears dressed in holiday attire will welcome in the first Teddy Bear Suite on Martha’s Vineyard. The special fundraising event is being organized by Point B Realty and hosted at the Harbor View Hotel from December 9 – 11, as part of the Christmas in Edgartown Festivities. All of the proceeds will go to the Martha’s Vineyard Boys & Girls Club.
Fun For Children Of All Ages
“We’re delighted to be able to bring this magical event to life here on the Vineyard,” said Point B Realty Owner/Broker Wendy Harman, who was inspired by a similar charitable Teddy Bear Suite at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel in Seattle.
“Bring your kids and your camera for some wonderful holiday memories, “said Harman. “We’ve designed a variety of fun photo opportunities throughout our holiday decorated suite with the bears, which range in size from six inches to six feet. We also have a collection of teddy bear themed books for the children to read.”

Raffle & Online Donations
In addition to a suggested donation at The Suite, there will also be a teddy bear raffle to help raise money for the Boys & Girls Club. For those who would like to donate but cannot attend, an online donation link has been set up.
According to Executive Director Peter Lambos, the money raised will help underwrite the cost of the popular After School Program that serves many island families. Lambos said the money will specifically help offset the cost of the “Power Hour” homework assistance program. Children from the Boys & Girls Club are also working on a Teddy Bear Suite float for the Holiday Parade through Edgartown on Saturday.
The Teddy Bear Suite will open its doors at the Harbor View Hotel on Friday, December 9th at 2pm. The Suite will also be open throughout the day on Saturday and Sunday.
The full Teddy Bear Suite schedule of events is available on the Point B Facebook page.
