The Martha’s Vineyard Teddy Bear Suite Needs Your Help! What Should We Name Our New Bear?

With Thanksgiving behind us, it’s time to enjoy all things Christmas — Christmas carols, Christmas decorations, shopping for Christmas presents and of course Christmas in Edgartown.

And that means it will soon be time for the magical Martha’s Vineyard Teddy Bear Suite.  For our second year, we have lots of new things to be excited about.  In the weeks leading up to Christmas in Edgartown, we’ll be giving you sneak peaks about some of the additions to the Teddy Bear Suite.

For those of you who came to share in the wonder of last year, you might remember Edgar, our big, cuddly bear who became a favorite holiday photo op for kids of all ages.  This year, we’re welcoming a new life size teddy bear, who has traveled from far away lands, and was slightly delayed by Hurricane Sandy, but has finally arrived on Martha’s Vineyard.

Help Name Our New Bear!

Just look at that face!  Our new teddy is a cuddly, gentle giant (five and a half feet tall), soft and ready to be the new star of the Teddy Bear Suite and those holiday memory photos (along with Edgar and our 100+ other bears).  Don’t fight that smile, and when you see this teddy know that hugs are welcome.  The only problem is, our new teddy doesn’t have a name.

The Point B Realty team has tried and tried to come up with a name, but none has worked so far.  We need your help in giving this special bear the perfect name.  Please let us know what name you think would suit this new friend.  A special surprise awaits for the one selected. If you’d like to see our new bear in person — to better help figure out a fitting name — he/she moved into the Point B Offices in downtown Edgartown on Winter Street in Nevin Square (by Alex and Ani, and Vineyard Vines). You can see our new friend through our front windows, sitting on our sofa. Hope you’re calendars are marked for December 7th through the 9th at the Harbor View Hotel.  We’ll be seeing you soon.
