Have you ever been to the Boys & Girls Club in Edgartown? There is so much happening there. From kids enjoying food through Healthy Happy Kids, to legos, to arts and crafts, to sports to homework and of course spending time with friends.
There are a lot of kids there of all ages, from all over the Island. Did you know that over 1,500 kids walked through the Club’s doors in 2018? The club touches so many young lives.
That’s why being there, giving the money the community raised through Point B Realty’s MV Teddy Bear Suite is on of the most incredible experiences.
Seeing the faces who benefit from this magical holiday event is so heart warming. Having them hug us and say thank you with the honest joy and meaning that only a child has is such a gift.
Knowing that those amazing kids are going to have a school year with full bellies is why we work as hard as we do to raise the money to fund Healthy Happy Kids.
There is a significant food scarcity problem on Martha’s Vineyard, and for the past three years, we have made it our mission to help the hundreds of kids who use the Club’s After School Program not go hungry. Food is provided at no cost, and it has been a game changer for the Club.
With ample food, kids eat and then continue on with their day, happy and healthy.
Thank you to all of you made this happen – individuals, business, neighbors, visitors – together we have done something pretty incredible and important for Island children.
