Many of you might be familiar with our Frugal Foodie series, but I just discovered from a friend, a way to relax, that is also pretty affordable.
My friend, Alex, asked me if I wanted to get a massage on a Monday because Sea Spa Salon offers a great incentive. Massage Mondays, bring a friend, it’s BOGO, buy one, get one half off. So, if you split it down the middle, it’s a lot more affordable. Instead of $115 per person, it’s $86 a person.
The Perfect Retreat
Alex and I were booked for the relaxation massage because who are you kidding, a little time to relax is priceless. When we walked into the spa at Sea Spa, we were greeted by our massage therapists. Alex was paired Temeisha, and I was working with with Rebecca Briggs, who also is a yogi and health educator.
The space was warm and quiet and welcome. Tea and water were available along with some amazing snacks including chocolate covered strawberries. We felt immediately pampered, and the worries of the day seemed to melt away.
One of the nice things about the Sea Spa Salon is the attention to detail. There were three different rooms for massage, each nautically inspired. Alex was in the Captain Room. I was in the Pirate Room. The lights were dim, the music soothing, the room warm, a perfect retreat for a cold Monday morning.
My last massage was years ago, so I was delighted to be in this space, and felt a little guilty because there’s always a ton of things to do on Mondays. But this needs to be done, a little “me” time that is restorative.
Rebecca exceeded my expectations. My massage was so relaxing, yet informative too. Rebecca has been doing massage and helping people heal as a health educator for years. From working on my body, she was able to pinpoint some areas that were inflamed. She was also able to recommend solutions too, super helpful.
She was also able to bring me to such a state of relaxation which can be a real challenge for me. I was so lost in the experience, I had no idea what time it was, how much time had passed. Like being in a casino, but in a state of bliss.
I left feeling like a better version of myself, which carried through for the rest of the day and into the next. I was not sore or achy, but felt a little more free. A valuable lesson that a massage is kind of an important thing to offer yourself. Thinking I will probably get another one next month.
Booking a spa date with your friend or significant other is a great way to combat the winter blues and really treat yourself!
Other Specials Sure To Pamper
If massage is not your thing or you are already committed to your massage therapist, Sea Spa Salon is offering something fun and pampering daily.
So, Monday is Massage Monday. Tuesday is Temeisha Tuesdays, where you get a FREE haircut with any color service from their talented stylist, Temeisha (a $70 + value). The salon offers Mani(c) Wednesdays, where you receive 20% off mani-pedis, which is perfect, since so many of us travel this time of year to warmer climates.
It’s Throwback Thursdays with 20% Off FacialsS with Kathleen, or Josh. I love this one, and totally get the humor, Fur-Free Fridays – customers get 20% off waxing services. A key one to mention with winter travel in full swing! And finally, Lash Flash Saturdays, where you can get 15% Off eyelash extension services with Josh. Secretly I have always wanted to get eye lash extensions. Maybe for this year’s Taste of the Vineyard? Step up my game a little!
For owner Salissa King, having Sea Spa Salon be an important part of the year round community is key. She works hard, and has fun offering creative specials to entice people to remember to pamper themselves, all four seasons.
