Some of the biggest events of the summer are moving a week later next year in August 2025. The Agricultural Fair, Illumination Night, and the Oak Bluffs Fireworks are ALL moving to the third week of August next year. This past summer, all those peak week events occurred during the second week. We’ve already helped a number of rental customers change their lease dates after discovering the schedule. The summer of 2025 will feature three peak rental weeks.
Here are the dates for some key events in late July and August for next summer:

- – Black Fashion Weekend – August 13 to August 15, 2025
- – Illumination Night – Wednesday, August 20, 2025

Martha’s Vineyard Vacation Rentals – Event Changes For The Peak Weeks Of August – Rentals With Peak Week Availability
While there are normally two peak weeks in August, as mentioned above, in the summer of 2025, there will be three peak vacation rental weeks — including the week with the fair, fireworks, and Illumination Night. Given the popularity of that week in particular, a lot of Martha’s Vineyard vacation rentals are booked by repeat renters or get rented quickly.
