One of our favorite Fall rituals on Martha’s Vineyard made its debut today. This year’s theme for the annual Scarecrow Festival, organized by the Martha’s Vineyard Charter School, is literary characters.
And scarecrow characters of all kinds began popping up all across the Island.
We’re excited to welcome Robin Hood to nobly greet clients and passersby outside our new office at 19 Winter Street in Edgartown. He’s our first scarecrow!
Robin Hood was personally delivered to us today by his creators, the Kleeman family. Parents Lindsay and Charlie, along with 10-year-old Volkert, 8-year-old Nikita, and 3-year-old Dill, proudly posed with one of their favorite literary characters (almost) come-to-life.
Volkert (4th grade) and Nikita (3rd grade) are both students at the Charter School. Dill will be joining them in a couple of years.
Thank you Kleemans for a job well done, and thank you Martha’s Vineyard Charter School, for organizing this great, creative event, which is an annual fund and awareness raiser for the Charter School.
