With a new look and a fresh approach, leading Martha’s Vineyard luxury real estate firm Point B Realty, welcomed in 2017 with the debut of its new, real estate store in Edgartown.
New Year – New Space
Point B Realty Principal Broker/Owner Wendy Harman describes the new space and stylistic approach as a cross between an Apple Store and a luxury hotel front desk — all applied to real estate, with a customer-centric focus on personal service.
The open first floor features a large granite and glass front desk, where Point B sales and rental agents now meet and greet their customers and clients.
The architect-designed space has a modern coastal look and feel. Gone are the traditional desks. On either side of the front desk, there are two seating areas, outfitted with casually contemporary tables and chairs, plus a tufted bench seat.
The first floor space has Rubio stained floors, coffered ceiling with grass cloth, and bead board. A large video monitor behind the front desk continually streams the Point B video channel, and a Nespresso Coffee Bar has been added as well.
Three walls of glass windows wrap around the first floor, inviting the outdoors in, and making Winter Street and its active sidewalk, an integrated part of the store.
New Personalized Real Estate Search
One of the most innovative new visual technology additions to the Point B store is a key component of that indoor-outdoor integration. Prominently located in the center window on Winter Street is a large, interactive touch screen display that can be controlled through the glass, from outside on the sidewalk.
Looking something like a three foot tall iPad on steroids, interested real estate customers — for the first time — can personally search their way through all the hundreds of sales listings on Martha’s Vineyard by location, size, price, or any other common search criteria. Results and further details can be forwarded to their mobile phones.
Point B’s featured property tour streaming video channel also plays simultaneously, in another portion of the screen. The interactive display is the first of its kind on the island.
In addition to the interactive window display, the Point B store is also outfitted with special iPads that run a custom built real estate App, that allows any real estate customer, to visually search through the local LINK MV MLS database — previously an ability reserved only for agents and brokers.
The App is another Martha’s Vineyard real estate first, as Point B continues to add and integrate the best new technologies, as part of our ongoing commitment to make buying and selling real estate on Martha’s Vineyard, not only a better, more transparent experience, but an easier one as well.
New Corporate Office
The new two story location at 19 Winter Street in Edgartown — the original Vineyard Vines flagship store in Nevin Square — underwent a substantial renovation and redesign over the summer and fall.
The second floor now houses corporate offices and meeting areas. The space continues the contemporary coastal color scheme but adds some unique farm-design influences, with a series of sliding glass barn doors that separate the open offices and meeting areas.
Although the actual move was only three doors down the street from the old Point B office, the front and center location of the new space, has already drawn a number of people in.
We hope that you will be one of our visitors as well, whether you’re looking to buy or sell, or rent here on the Vineyard. We have a great team of real estate specialists, who can help you get from Point A to Point B in your Martha’s Vineyard real estate search. The doors are now open at 19 Winter Street, in Edgartown.
