From poolside to inside, the Martha’s Vineyard summer home design series Your Island Home hosted a special event at the Samuel Butler House, 50 North Water Street in Edgartown.
The ongoing series of design events, sponsored by Point B Realty, featured architect Dudley Cannada, principal of Cannada Design Architects.
Dudley (seen above with Joan Norton and Point B Principal Broker/Owner Wendy Harman) was on hand to show guests around his latest project, The Samuel Butler House, where he has transformed one of the Vineyard’s oldest whaling captain’s homes into one of Edgartown’s premier luxury properties.
You’ll get a sense of what makes this home so spectacular from our just released video.

Wine And Design — Great Food Too
The 40+ guests were treated to food prepared by Detente Restaurant Chef/Owner Kevin Crowell . . .
And a nice selection of wines paired for the event by John Clift, Owner/Sommelier from Vintage MV.
While there are three floors of living space, and a rooftop widow’s walk with water views, it was the poolside patio and portico, where many of the invited guests, friends, and colleagues ended up enjoying their wine and food.
A beautiful evening to host Your Island Home, and find a few new island home ideas of your own.
We’d like to thank Dudley Cannada for opening his home, telling his story, and being a gracious host. We’d also like to thank all our guests who attended, as well as the Point B team on hand, including Stacy Ickes, Valerie Hart, Cheri Mason, Jen O’Hanlon, Guinevere Cramer, Wendy Harman, and Win Baker.
The Samuel Butler House is a Point B Realty exclusive listing, offered at $3,995,000. Please contact us if you’d like more information or your own private tour.
