Tickets are going fast for Saturday night’s satirical comedy “Betrayed on Martha’s Vineyard.” Islander and nationally-acclaimed comedian Louise DuArt is staging the one-woman show (featuring 25 of her celebrity impersonations) at Dreamland, in Oak Bluffs.
Described as “a rollicking tale” of how a network of neighborly sleuths rid their island of evildoers, Louise admits that the show is inspired by real-world events still unfolding, with a cast of characters from Texas to Martha’s Vineyard.
All the proceeds from this special event will help support the re-launch of NetworkOfNeighbors.Com, a Martha’s Vineyard-based organization founded by Louise and her husband SQuire Rushnell.
We applaud their efforts to get this unique neighbors-helping-neighbors organization back on its feet and up to full speed.
What a great way to support our local community and have a lot of great laughs. The show starts at 7:30 p.m., with tickets from $15. Dreamland is located upstairs from the MV Chowder Company. For last minute tickets call 508-696-3000.
