  • The Port Hunter – This Edgartown raw bar and kitchen is well known for its farm to table creations, incredible cocktails, and a lively atmosphere both during and after dinner! 
  • 19 Raw – Another premium Edgartown location that boasts a delectable raw bar and steak house. This place is hard to beat and just reopened for the season! 
  • Coop de Ville: a staple on Oak BLuffs harbor, the reopening of Coop de ville symbolizes the harbor scene coming back to life! Now celebrating their 40th year. 
  • Lookout Tavern: Treat yourself to a lobster roll or fresh sushi at this beloved Oak Bluffs outpost with ocean views. 
  • Red Cat Kitchen: Dinner at Red Cat is always a special treat, and Chef Ben DeForest’s mouthwatering menu aims to please! Don’t miss a chance to sip on their creative cocktails. 
  • The Atlantic: One of the most scenic spots to dine in Edgartown, the Atlantic offers a large menu, great people-watching and harbor views. 
  • Giordano’s – Indulge in delectable pizza and authentic Italian cuisine in Oak Bluffs. Conveniently located on the corner of Circuit Ave, Giordano’s offers both dine-in and takeaway options in a casual setting. Savoring a slice at Gio’s is a must!

  • Chesca’s – Enjoy a cozy indoor dining experience in the heart of Edgartown at Chesca’s.
  • Larsen’s – One of Martha’s Vineyard’s most beloved fish markets located in Menemsha, Larsen’s offers fresh seafood straight off the boat, allowing you to savor the flavors of the island while you watch the sunset or take home your catch for a feast.
• May 3:
  • Biscuits – Start your day right with a visit to Biscuits in Oak Bluffs, one of the most popular breakfast spots on the island. 
  • Farm Neck Cafe – Situated on the picturesque Farm Neck Golf Course, Farm Neck Cafe offers a charming dining space with stunning views and quintessential Vineyard vibes whether you’re stopping by for lunch or dinner.

• May 8:
  • Fish MV – Enjoy the spacious patio on Main Street, Vineyard Haven overlooking the harbor while indulging in scratch-made cocktails, seafood bites, burritos, and bowls at the seasonal sister restaurant of year-round eateries Waterside Market and the @ttic.
  • Pawnee House – Step into the trendy and intimate ambiance of Pawnee House, located in Oak Bluffs, and enjoy a creative menu featuring both vegan options and traditional fare. Whether you’re a dedicated vegan or simply seeking innovative culinary delights, Pawnee House is a memorable dining experience that celebrates flavor and creativity.

As we prepare for another summer, exciting news stirs the foodie community with new dining options! Salvatore’s Restaurant unveils La Strada, an Italian deli in a wine cellar setting on Main St in Vineyard Haven, opening May 1st. Additionally, 19 Raw Oyster Bar, known for its incredible food, announces the launch of 9 Craft Kitchen and Bar, promising unparalleled culinary experiences in Vineyard Haven. Welcome Back: Restaurant and Retail Reopenings on Martha’s Vineyard for Spring 2024 – Sweet Treat Reopenings

Dessert aficionados rejoice as sweet treats return with the seasonal reopening of dessert shops across the Island. Indulge your sweet tooth with a delightful array of offerings, from artisanal ice creams to freshly baked pastries. 

• Mad Martha’s – a local favorite renowned for its creative ice cream flavors. Already reopened in Oak Bluffs, Mad Martha’s will soon announce reopening dates for its Edgartown and Vineyard Haven locations, promising even more opportunities to savor their delightful treats.
• Salt Rock Chocolates – made in their up-Island chocolate factory, these local treats draw a crowd at the farmers market each summer. You will soon be able to enjoy their chocolates again when the West Tisbury Farmers Market kicks off on June 1, and follow them on Instagram to see if they announce any spring popups. 
• Back Door Donuts in Oak Bluffs has reopened for the season, and now welcomes guests from 8 AM to 3 PM daily in the front bakery, while the iconic back door remains open from 7 PM to 12 AM daily, maintaining its tradition of drawing eager patrons late into the night. However, this year brings a modern twist: the option to order ahead and pick up at the front door, even late at night. The question remains: who will opt for the time-honored tradition of waiting in the long line for a freshly made donut after dinner, and who will embrace the convenience of the new pickup option?
• Ben and Bills – another Island ice cream staple in Oak Bluffs, Ben and Bills has been open for the past few weeks, serving up delicious ice cream and chocolate right on Circuit Ave!

• Trust and Lani Beach Club – Both of these adorable Vineyard Haven boutiques just opened their doors for the season. From sustainable swim to boho outfits and accessories, this is the perfect place to start for your summer wardrobe. 
• The Boneyard – reopened on April 1st. Embodying a laid-back surf and skater style, this establishment features Martha’s Vineyard-inspired designs alongside popular surf brands. 
• Slate and Salte – sister brands with two storefronts in downtown Edgartown, Slate is a trendy Vineyard-styled clothing boutique that just opened for the season. Slate has yet to announce their reopening date, but in the next few weeks you will be able to peruse their Island inspired decorations and homegoods in town! 
• Backwater Trading Co – Martha’s Vineyard celebrates the return of outdoor enthusiasts with the reopening of Backwater Trading Co. This locally owned shop offers a curated selection of outdoor adventure clothing, shoes, and accessories, catering to Islanders and visitors alike. 
• Nochi MV – Entering its 21st season on Main Street in Vineyard Haven, Nochi MV epitomizes the spirit of Island living. Offering a curated selection of sophisticated clothing, jewelry, and furniture, this boutique just reopened its doors! 

Welcome Back: Restaurant and Retail Reopenings on Martha’s Vineyard for Spring 2024 – Activities & Adventures

In addition to food and shopping, spring on Martha’s Vineyard heralds a wave of new activities and events, unique to this season and not to be missed. From outdoor adventures to exciting events, the Island comes alive with exciting opportunities waiting to be explored.

• Get out on the water – Head over to Island Spirit Kayak, which will be open starting in May, for a paddle through the coastal ponds of the Island. • Listen to live music – A new opportunity on-Island to listen to live music this year, the inaugural Porchfest Edgartown, hosted by the Edgartown Board of Trade, will take place on May 18. Inspired by a beloved event originating nearly 20 years ago in Ithaca, N.Y., local musicians will serenade attendees from porches and various spaces across Edgartown. Among the selected venues are Rosewater Market, the Hob Knob hotel, and Nevin Square. 
• Attend one of the many Island markets – The Island’s markets are a special draw for visitors and locals to enjoy the Island’s fresh produce, flowers, dairy, seafood, meat, art, music, and more. This is one of the best ways to support local businesses and experience the Island community and culture. Upcoming markets and their opening dates include: The West Tisbury Farmers Market (June 1st), First Friday (June 7), Edgartown Village Market (June 18), Chilmark Flea Market (June 22).
