Marthas Vineyard Weather: Snowstorm Hits the VineyardThe first real snow of 2012 has landed and slammed into Martha’s Vineyard. By early afternoon, four to five inches of heavy, wet snow had fallen around various parts of the Island. This series of snow shots all taken at about the four inch mark.

Visibility Was Low As The Snow Whihpped Through Edgartown harborSeven hours into the snowstorm has found most people hunkering down at home and many businesses closing early, and events cancelled. Visibility is poor, and while the plows are out, the roads are slippery.

Main Street In Edgartown Is Empty As The Snowstorm Rolls Across The VineyardThere is a winter weather advisory in effect and forecasters are calling for up to nine inches of snow. So far, no serious problems reported.
