Christmas in Edgartown - Lighthouse With Holiday Wreath Edgartown HarborWith work, children, and all our endless responsibilites, it is important to take some time to savor this very special time of year.  We are all so busy, even more busy with preparation for the holidays, but as I find my “to do” list dwindling, I can pick up the subtle nuances of the holiday season.

Christmas on Martha's VineyardThis time of year, I love living on Martha’s Vineyard.  Of course the Island is beautiful and each town has its own special holiday magic, but what I really love is how the mundane becomes fabulous.  Going to the Post Office is an adventure, complete with a minimum of a half hour social visit with friends who have been in a mini-hiberbation.

I wish everyone a joyous holiday, safe travels, happy memories, and a moment to really enjoy the spirit of Christmas.
