Over the past two-and-a-half years our blog, On Point, has been bringing you stories about many of the things you like about this special island. We’re doing our part to bring you closer to things happening here, whether you live down the street or half a world away.
Twice a week, On Point shows a fresh perspective of island happenings. Everyone has a story, and for us, we want to learn and share as many of these stories as possible. With such a diverse, creative community, there is never a shortage of subjects.
From jewelry designers to home designers to restaurants to food deals, from artists to chefs to non-profits to writers — to well, just about anything — we love finding the story and sharing it with you.
People wonder why Point B Realty has a blog that’s not solely real estate focused? That’s an easy one to answer. We love this community.
We love helping local businesses and artists and non-profits share their stories with people. There is always so much happening on this small island, and we are always surprised with what we learn each week about the people who live, vacation, and visit here.
On Point Blog Milestones
We’ve published over 100 On Point blog posts featuring a range of topics. It’s fun to look back and revisit some of our favorites. For me, some of my favorite blog posts are ones about food.
One of my all time favorites is Orange Peel Bakery: Stone Oven Pizza Served Up Vineyard-Style In Aquinnah. I had never experienced this community-inspired meal, and I loved it. Actually, I could go on and on, since I have had so many great food experiences on Martha’s Vineyard.
However, I have to mention the blogs about the people that have a Vineyard connection. Each one has left me inspired, and that much more proud to be a part of this special place.
Learning about Stefanie Wolf’s path to become a successful jewelry designer or about author Susie Middleton’s change in her direction and life. How the once Editor-in-Chief of Fine Cooking has become an island farmer.
These are just two of the stories that moved me, and made me think that you really can live your dream. I can’t wait to discover even more stories to share about people with you through On Point and Point B Realty.
The blog is just one of the ways we’ve tried to make a difference. As a young real estate company — just now going into our fifth year — we’ve focused on trying to make a real difference for hundreds of families and their experience on this island.
Whether buying, selling, renting, or consulting, it’s humbling to know that our island community has helped us grow and now land in the top-five real estate firms on the island.
Martha’s Vineyard Teddy Bear Suite
For three years, Point B Realty has sponsored the Teddy Bear Suite during Christmas in Edgartown. This event that has become a holiday favorite, was a dream of Point B Realty’s founder, Wendy Harman.
For years, she and her family would visit the Teddy Bear Suite at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel in Seattle over the holidays. Wendy loved the joy it brought to children and adults.
Now, the Teddy Bear Suite is part of the holidays on Martha’s Vineyard. Each year the Harbor View Hotel donates one of their beautiful suites, and Wendy and her team bring to life the magic of the Teddy Bear Suite, where holiday memories are made.
The Teddy Bear Suite is so much more than part of Christmas in Edgartown. It’s a month-long fundriaser for the Martha’s Vineyard Boys & Girls Club’s After School Program.
Through online and event donations, and money raised from raffle items, the Point B team has been able to raise of $20,000+. For Point B, it’s important to not only be a part of this community, but to also give back and help our Island non-profits and the families that live here.

It’s our five-year anniversary, and we’re celebrating all year, and what a gift it would be to be the Best of the Vineyard.
