For the second year now, David Welch, an awarding winning photographer, volunteered his time to take amazing professional pictures and capture the magic of the Martha’s Vineyard Teddy Bear Suite.
Not only were moms and dads happy to get a great picture by David, but the kids enjoyed spending time with all the teddy bears. We even brought the big bears, Chappy, TisBeary, and Obie all into the bedroom, and that made for even more fun.
The scene was a joyous one, and for those two hours while David was taking pictures, I could not help but get caught up in all the fun.
From giggling at the bear in shower, to pushing the bears in the car around, or racing, kids and parents alike were celebrating the joy of the holidays at the suite. The celebration of course continues until Sunday, December 28th.
The Martha’s Vineyard Teddy Bear Suite is so much more than a place that warms you’re heart. It is a fundraiser for the Martha’s Vineyard Boys & Girls Club. The Teddy Bear Suite is working toward a goal of $12,000 for the Club. We’re just past $3,500.
The money will help renovate the Games Room which is used daily by hundreds of elementary school aged kids who are part of the After School Program, which only costs parents $20 a year.

You can donate online, or if you’re on-island, stop by the Martha’s Vineyard Teddy Bear Suite at the Harbor View Hotel, and help support the Boys & Girls Club.
There isn’t an admission fee, but we hope that you’ll donate when you visit. Also, don’t forget to stop by next weekend during Chirstmas in Edgartown!
