The Best Burgers On Martha’s Vineyard

Best Burgers On Martha's Vineyard: State Road, Brick Cellar Bar Atria, Offshore Ale, Alchemy Restaurants Burger Night, Burger Menu, Truffle Fries Vineyard Best BurgerSo many people think that the Island falls into a deep hibernation once the holidays are over, but that is not true.  Granted it gets a little more quiet, but there are still lots of things to keep us from being house-bound during these chilly months.  One reason to get out is the promise of a delicious burger and fries and some friends.  Well at least that works for me.

Burger Night State Road Restaurant

State road Restaurant West Tisbury Burger Night Martha's Vineyard Restaurants Best BurgerI am a burger lover, and with that comes an excuse to venture out to any special burger night at Vineyard restaurants.  With the holidays over, State Road is offering its Thursday Burger Night again.  The burgers at this chic American Tavern are worth the trip up island to West Tisbury, and the wait (if you don’t make a reservation).  The place will be jammed packed!  I like to try a different one each time I go.  Don’t forget to bring along your favorite beer too, since it is BYOB, and you better hurry because State Road is closed for February & March.

Burger Menu At Atria’s Brick Cellar Bar

Best Burgers On The Vineyard Brick Cellar Pub Burger MenuA really cozy spot to grab a delicious burger is at Atria’s Brick Cellar Bar, Main Street Edgartown.  I love  heading down the stairs, and being greeted by the all the brick and low lighting.  You just know something good is about to happen.  The burgers here were once, not even on the menu.  You had to be in the “know” to get one, but they’re so popular, that the off season has prompted a special burger-focused menu.  The bartender makes a mean “Dark & Stormy” that pairs well with any of the beef burgers.  Don’t forget to make the fries, truffle fries – you will not be dissapointed.  A reminder – reservations are suggested for here too.  It may be winter, but you may not be able to get in.

Burgers At Offshore Ale Company

Offshore Ale Company Oak Bluffs Best Burger On The VineyardVoted best burger on Martha’s Vineyard by Martha’s Vineyard Magazine for five years in a row, a burger from Offshore Ale, in Oak Bluffs, is a must for all my fellow burger enthusiasts.  Big and juicy, the burgers have become famous because of all the accolades.  Lots of ways to customize and make it your own, it’s sure to leave you happy and satisfied.  When ordering, be sure to get the fries, they are handcut, and worth the indulgence.  Pair your creation with one of their homemade beers.  My personal favorite is the Hopp Goddess but since it’s winter, the Mis Behavin, a winter warmer, will do just as well.

Alchemy Burger Returns In February

Alchemy Restaurant Edgartown Best Burger Martha's Vineyard RestaurantThough I love a number of burgers and the Vineyard restaurants that make these savory creations, my personal favorite is the burger at Alchemy, in Edgartown.  There is just something about it, and those shoestring fries do me in everytime.  I always eat them all! Perhaps its the delicious food and all the memories I have made there with my friends through the years.  Just remember that they’re not open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays during the off-season, which always makes me sad, because I would love to do a mid-week dinner there and a movie at Edgartown Cinema (movies are only $6.00 those nights).  Also, you’ll have to wait until February 3 to enjoy one of these tasty treats, since Alchemy is closed for the month of January.

I hope after reading this you make a date with your best pal(s) or significant other, and head out for a burger experience of your own.  I know that I am going to!  For all of those with eating restrictions because of New Year resolutions, you can make it up the next day! Let me know who serves your favorite burger on the Vineyard.
