It’s almost time for Christmas in Edgartown and that means the Teddy Bear Suite! Our goal with the 2nd Annual Teddy Bear Suite is to raise $5,000 for the Martha’s Vineyard Boys & Girls Club’s After School Program. There are two ways you can help. Visit us at the Teddy Bear Suite this weekend at the Harbor View Hotel where we’ll have some awesome raffle items and/or donate online. We’re so dedicated to the After School Program, Point B will contribute 50-cents for every dollar raised online up to $5,000. It’s a lot of dough, but I think we can do it with your help.
We have a new addition to our raffle items, an Edgartown Zip Code Pillow, part of the Townie Collection from Bespoke Abode on Main Street in Vineyard Haven. This custom pillow is the work of Island Interior Designer, Elizabeth Stiving-Nichols. I love the Zip Code Pillow. I have a navy blue one with 02557 since I am an OB girl. Love this pillow too? Stop by the Teddy Bear Suite. Raffle tickets are only $5.00 or 5 for 20. Also, if you’d like to buy one for home or as a gift, stop by Bespoke Abode where you’ll find all the town Zip Codes.
Island Restaurant Extravaganza
What is that you ask? Only the most delicious raffle item ever. How about a collection of gift certificates from some of the best restaurants on the Island, not just one or two, but nine !!! You can have your own little Winter restaurant adventure, or you can use the ones you love and give a couple as Christmas presents. Who doesn’t love to eat out?
In our Island Restaurant Extravaganza, we have Lucky Hank’s, Art Cliff, Atria, Offshore Ale, Cafe Moxie, The Wharf, Martha’s Vineyard Chowder Company, Henry’s and Slice of Life. Just imagine having all those gift certificates for all those restaurants! Just thinking about it makes me hungry, and like me, you’re probably thinking about your favorite dish at one of them right now. I know I’m dreaming about Gina’s Raspberry Brown Sugar Pancakes from the Art Cliff, yum.
Lovely Leather
One of my favorite Island Artists, Rebeccah J, has donated a bracelet and a matching pair of earrings. I love her work, and have a number of pieces. I just bought a pair of the feather earrings, but in platinum, which I picked up from the Local Artists pop-up store on Circuit Avenue in Oak Bluffs. Now this raffle item is perfect for all you guys out there. Guaranteed success with these pieces if you give them to your significant other for Christmas.
Calling All Patriots Fans
We have a signed and framed picture of Pats offensive tackle man Sebastian Vollmer. This is perfect for your man cave, perhaps your office, or you kid’s room. This would make an amazing gift for that special someone who loves the Patriots and since we’re in Massachusetts, who doesn’t? This item is very special because it was signed by Vollmer for the Boys & Girls Club with the hope that it would help the Club get a large donation for it. Peter Lambos, the Executive Director of the Club, thought it would be perfect for a raffle item to help raise money at the Teddy Bear Suite.
A Beautiful Ladder
Another one of my favorite local artists, Stefanie Wolf has donated one of her Ladder Bracelets. I love this new design that came out last summer. The stunning blue Picasso tile stones with the leather looks amazing! I am secretly coveting a Ladder Bracelet in grey. Hint, Hint Matt Cramer. This is one I would definitely keep for myself, but you know I love all things Stefanie Wolf.
Admission is free because we want everyone to be able to enjoy the magic of the suite, where holiday memories are made, but we hope you will make a donation when you stop by.
