Anxiously Awaiting The Debut Of Copper Wok – Newest Restaurant On Martha’s Vineyard

Last Summer l when I did a story on JB, owner of Sharky’s and the Martha’s Vineyard Chowder Company, he told me he wanted to open seven different restaurants on Martha’s Vineyard.  One for every day of the week, with a different concept, and all of which would be open year-round.

If somebody else told me that, I would laugh and tell them they might be a little nuts, but when JB says it, I believe it.  He knows how to make a restaurant successful on the Island.

Well three down, and four more to go.  JB’s newest creation, Copper Wok – Pan Asian & Sushi Restaurant will be opening in just a little over a month.  What is Pan Asian you might wonder?  Basically, Copper Wok’s menu will have dishes from various Asian cuisines.

Meaning, there might be Japanese Udon Noodle Soup, Lo Mein and Red Curry, all on the menu.  I love the concept — sometimes you want sushi, sometimes you want something Thai or good ol’ General Tso’s Chicken.  I can’t wait to see what this menu holds.  I really hope they have amazing Spring Rolls!

Martha's Vineyard Asian Restaurant Copper Wok logoWhat town will boast this newest addition to the restaurant scene?  We won’t know for another week.  JB is keeping a tight lid on the location.  He is currently working with two different locations, in two different towns.  My guess from the buzz on the street is that it’s going to be in Vineyard Haven.

Wherever it’s going to be, you can bet I am going to be a frequent visitor!  How exciting to have a Pan-Asian restaurant  that’s JB’s.  You can bet it’s going to have a fun, cool vibe, great decor, and amazing cocktails.  Not to worry if it is in Vineyard Haven — you can do wonders with Saki.

April on Martha’s Vineyard is about to get a lot more interesting, with the addition of Copper Wok.  I can’t wait to find out the location, but we’ll have to wait just a little longer to find out where.  Any gueses?
